Mother's Day

This Mother's Day was the first time in 5 years I had all three of my girls with me. They made me breakfast and planned the menu for dinner. As I sat in my bed reading a book I stopped and listened to the sounds coming from the kitchen. The middle daughter (K) has taken on the role of pack leader. She was the head chef barking orders for her sisters. In years past they would need me to come and get something they couldn't find or tell them how to cook something, this year was different they didn't ask for my help at all. It's really rewarding as a parent to step back and watch the relationship between your children develop. It's even more rewarding when your children recognize the never ending love you have for them.
